Jackie Wayne Greer

Jackie Wayne Greer, 75, of Alliance, AL passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018. Jackie was raised in Big Creek Community and was a graduate of Oak Grove High School. He was an Airforce Vet with 4 years of service. Jackie was a “can maker” with Continental Can and was a coal miner at #3 Adger. He was also an insurance Agent and was self employed with Lawn Service, a “Jackie” of all trades. Jackie was a deacon of his church at Mulga Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Owen and Grace Greer and his brothers, Donald Greer and Randy Greer. Jackie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Justice Greer; his children, Pamela Greer Hopson and Jeffery Wayne Greer (Stephaney); his grandchildren, Shelby Barnes (Jon), Jordan Barnes, Kaylyn Hopson, and Jackson Greer; his great grandson, Grayson; his brother, Fred A. Greer (Loretta); his sisters, Nancy Hammond (Oscar) and Linda Snider (Wayne), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Mulga Baptist Church. Family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. and held at Highland Memorial Gardens. Bro. Crantford Hicks will be officiating.
