James "Frank" Boyd

September 8, 1941 - December 3, 2021

James "Frank" Boyd, 80, of Woodstock, AL passed away December 3, 2021. He was a member of Woodstock First Baptist Church. Frank was a veteran of the US army. He retired from Jim Walter Resources with twenty years of service. He was a very hard worker and had a great sense of humor. Frank was a loving husband, devoted father and a proud pawpaw. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Linda Boyd; his parents, Woodrow and Lena Boyd; his sister, Jessie Dean Lambert. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly and Chris White, Chris was more like a son than son-in-law. His grandchildren, Danielle and Haley White; his brothers, Jamie (Janie) Boyd, George (Ann) Boyd, Bob Boyd and Willie Boyd; his sisters, Annette Tucker and Elizabeth Boyd. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home with burial following at Greenpond Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Rev. Greg Findley will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
