James "Jimmy Ray" Arnold, Sr.,

June 23, 1957 - July 19, 2019

James "Jimmy Ray" Arnold, Sr., passed away July 19, 2019 at the age of 62. He is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Ray Arnold; his mother, Betty "MawMaw" Arnold; his brother, Timothy L. Arnold; three infant brothers and Aunt Dixie Holmes. He leaves behind his wife, Renae Alexander Arnold; his son, Jimmy R. Arnold, Jr. (Julie); daughter, Melanie Arnold Morris (Shane); step-son, T.J. Burnette; grandchildren, Taylore, Ava, Ayden, Alex, Cayden, Paislie and Hailie; his uncle, Lloyd Colvin; his mother-in-law, Barbara Donovan; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. James was raised in Brighton, AL where he grew up with numerous friends that he considered family. Co-owner of 2 Aces Heating and Cooling, and a member of Elks Lodge #721 in Bessemer, AL. He loved Alabama Football, Nascar and riding his Harley. He was know as PaPa and Bubba by many. He was dearly loved and will be missed by many. Pall bearers will be Ryan Brooks, Willie Kizziah, Chris Godsey, Bobby Waldrop, Blake Camp, and Dusty Postell. Honorary Paul bearers are, Bill Webster and Danny Holden and Stevie Lafoy. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home with burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
