Landon E. "Jack" Russell

November 28, 1939 - May 1, 2022

Landon E. “Jack” Russell, 82 years of age, went home to be with his Savior on May 1st, 2022. He was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church for 55 years. He was a veteran of the National Guard and worked at Buffalo Rock from 1984 to 2002. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Russell, his mother, Pallie Russell, his brother, Donald Russell, his sister Lois Bozzelli, and his sister, Carolyn Foster. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Russell, his son Mike (Lisa) Russell, Scott Russell, and Jeff (Carol) Russell; nine grandchildren: Joseph (Anna) Russell, Kelsey (T.J.) Barr, Arayah (Jamey) Reynolds, Brandon (Laura Lee) Russell, Cole Russell, Drew Russell, J.T. (Claire) Russell, and McKenzie Russell; five great-grandchildren: Lilly Barr, Bryleigh Barr, Brodee Russell, Landon Russell, and Harper Russell; his sisters: Loretta Loggins and Dot Tillery and several nieces, nephews, and extended loving family and friends. Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. His contagious love for the Lord gives us inspiration and peace knowing he is with his Heavenly Father. Visitation will be held at Brown Service Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00pm and funeral service following from 2:00 to 3:00pm. The funeral service will be at Brown Service Funeral Home, 1300 4th Avenue North Bessemer, Alabama 35020 with the burial at Highland Memorial Gardens, 3115 18th Avenue North Bessemer, Alabama 35020. Bro. Bruce McCartney will be officiating the service.
