Lester "Doc" Hoffman

Lester "Doc" Hoffman, 79, of McCalla, AL passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019. Doc retired from Koppers Industries with 30 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman, including hunting, fishing and yard work. Doc was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn A. Hoffman. He is survived by his sons, Kenneth (Netiva) Hoffman, Gregory Hoffman and Steve Hoffman; his daughter, Karen (Terry) Fahnestock; his grandchildren, Allen (Erica), Ashley (Josh), Kade, Coty, Garrett and Collin; his great granddaughters, Madsion and Karleigh; his special friend, Shirley Marchant; his brother, Robert Hoffman; his sisters, Martha Harbison, Louise Blevins, and Betty (Lamon) Hayes, along with several nieces, nephews and extended loving family and friends. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Hickman Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home. Bro. Greg Findley will be officiating.
