Lucile Smith

Lucile Smith, born July 12, 1927, went home to be with her Lord on her 92nd birthday, July 12, 2019. "Well done my good and faithful servant." She led a beautiful Christian life; she lived her faith. She dearly loved her family and was a devoted friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Smith and her son-in-law Ronnie Bunn. She is survived by her six children and their families. Linda Nabors (Mike), Teresa Bunn, Dennis Smith (Kathy), Fred Smith, Mary Mims (Barry), and Janelle Ward (Mike). She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Creek Baptist Church in Hueytown, AL with burial following at Valley Creek Cemetery. Pastor Bob Weber will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests the memorial be sent to the Valley Creek Building Fund 3253 Virginia Drive, Hueytown, AL.
