Peggy "Diane" Hyche

August 16, 1945 - September 26, 2018

Peggy "Diane" Hyche, 73, of McCalla, AL passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Diane was a member of The Baptist Church at Mcadory. She retired from UAB, where she was the secretary to the Dean, of the Business and Engineering Dept. Diane was a member of the Bessemer Rotary Club, Hall of History, UDC, Women on Mission, and West Jefferson Historical Society. Diane was woman of the year for the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She received the Charles A. Long Award for Outstanding Citizen for the City of Bessemer. Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Don Hyche and her sister, Kathy Harbin. She is survived by her son, Brian Hyche; her grandchildren, Kelly (Ashley) Hyche, Alex Hyche, Brian Keith Jr. and Drew Hyche; her great grandsons, Kevin Hyche and Austin Hyche and her sister, Linda (Neal) Shivers. Church service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at The Baptist Church at Mcadory. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be held at Highland memorial Gardens. Bro. Bill McCall will be officiating. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to Breast Cancer Awareness.
